Vitelio Mejía Ortiz has been a partner in Pellerano & Herrera’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice since 2014. He has more than 38 years of legal experience, focusing on civil and corporate litigation and administrative law. He has worked on major concession and tender projects, advising government grantors in some cases and private concessionaires in others, both on the processes themselves and on structuring financing for infrastructure projects and transferring concession rights. He is a recognised expert in air transport, aviation law and airport law.
He has served as legal counsel to prominent domestic and international airlines with interests in the Dominican Republic and as a member of the boards of directors of major companies in the air transport, tourism, real estate, advertising and media sectors. He has helped draft and formulate sector-specific legislation for the tourism sector and the aviation industry.
